Journalism has indeed lost its credibility in Ghana. If not, Ghanaians and the Ghana Journalists Association would not have entertained a criminal who was supposed to go to prison for corruption. Shameless and corrupt journalists now promote crime in the NPP government as normal.
Putting on the best shirt and tie doesn’t make one intelligent, but the words of people quickly reveal whether one is intelligent or a fool. I stopped watching Paul Adom-Otchere’s videos on Youtube after the book review of Obed Asamoah. The more he tries to be intelligent, the more I realize he is not comfortable with himself, especially about the trash he spoke against Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
Paul Adom-Otchere was appointed by Nana Akufo Addo; therefore, he is under the president’s spell. No matter how wrong or whatever crime Akufo Addo is involved in, Adom-Otchere will find it very hard to speak against it. That makes him a big fool because nobody has asked him for any discussions about Akufo Addo on certain sensitive topics.
On Serwaa Broni’s issue, Adom-Otchere said the woman thinks she has been mistreated and therefore needs to be paid some money, but that’s not the issue. As a so-called journalist, I wonder why he did say something about the trauma this woman went through after the president sent NPP criminals to rob her items at gunpoint just to prevent her from being exposed and then blamed the woman as if she is responsible for the crime.
How can a journalist be so stupid to say that Serwaa Broni has heard about people becoming landlords or owning properties in East Legon or, let’s assume, (the airport residential area,) and that, therefore, she needs money from the president? Is this the kind of person Ghanaians are proud of as a journalist?
If Paul Adom-Otchere really has respect for women, he wouldn’t say that Serwaa Broni thinks she has been mistreated and, therefore, wants some compensation from the president, but the Akufo Addo has to protect the public purse.
If indeed, Nana Akufo Addo knows how to protect the public purse, would Adom-Otchere have any cash to steal from the government’s coffers by inflating the cost of an ordinary Christmas tree? You are really embarrassing yourself, just as the president himself has become a subject of public ridicule.
How I wished the wife of this stupid, corrupt journalist would experience the same thing that Serwaa Broni went through for him to be a little more intelligent to respect women.
Let me tell you, Paul Adom-Otchere, there is a time for everything. Just continue being a puppet on a string pulled by the president until the last moment when the NPP is no longer in power. At that time, you will realize that a church mouse is even more important and happier than you.
There will be a time in Ghana when no , institution, etc., will employ you. That’s when your work is over at Kotoka International Airport. It is during that period that your life will come to a bitter end and you will fully understand the poor journalism you did and the harm you have done to people.
