Six Violent Criminals Nabbed And Taken Into Police Custody, Guns And Stolen Car Recovered

Six violent criminals, causing so much pain and making life miserable for many people – linked to a series of armed robbery attacks and carjacking in the Greater Accra and Central Regions have been seized in a three-day targeted intelligence operation carried out by the police.

The operation led by the anti-robbery squad at the police criminal investigation Department (CID) headquarters was mounted at various locations and it started from the Good Friday, April 15, 2022, to Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022.

The police officers retrieved from the robbery suspects a foreign pistol, a locally-manufactured gun, large quantity of ammo, two iPhones and four wristwatches. The officers additionally recovered from them a stolen vehicle.

The police have given their names as Hussain Sampe, Jitbrilla Musa aka Danturi, Ade Banjor, Anthony Sackey, Daniel Acquah and Michael Ojo.

They are said to have confessed to their involvement in a series of robbery attacks over the years.

According to the police the suspects are cooperating with police investigation and they say they would be inviting some of the robbery victims to tell their own stories – what these suspected robbers took them through.

The Police Administration has applauded the anti-robbery squad at the criminal investigations department headquarters and all other officers who took part in the operation that netted the six suspected violent criminals for a good job done.

The police called for all those who have chosen the life of crime to reform in their own interest, telling them that they can run but they cannot hide.

They would be smoked out and made to face the law.

The police are determined to every length to arrest and bring to justice those who have chosen the life of crime to make the society safe for the law-abiding people.

The Ghana Police Service appears to be ruthlessly dealing with criminals in the country.
