Former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan has made a shocking revelation about his time in Turkish league.
The former Sunderland striker has played for several clubs across Italy, France, England, UAE, China Saudi Arabia, Turkey and India. He last signed for Ghana Premier League club, Legon Cities FC but struggled to keep a regular shirt due to fitness concerns. He has been narrating how spiritualism played a key part in Turkish and Indian football.
“The strange thing I saw during my time in Europe is when I went to Turkey before a game, they slaughter sheep in front of the bus, then in India before the league season starts, they take us to the shrine for fortification.” Asamoah Gyan said on Angel TV/FM.
Asamoah Gyan is Africa’s all time top scorer at the FIFA World Cup and Ghana’s all time top scorer. He has participated in three FIFA World Cups with his debut being the 2006 in Germany before appearances at the 2010 and the 2014 FIFA World Cups in South Africa and Brazil respectively.
