There are so many things currently going on in South Africa as a country, the country is currently going through the most difficult time. That we have forgotten about Covid-19 and that it still exists.
Although there is progress on the fight against Covid-19, the battle is far from over, the virus is still very much with us. People are still contracting the virus and people are still encouraged to go and get vaccinated.
Although many people are vaccinated, many still believe that they do not need to get vaccinated, majority of people who are not vaccinated are the youth, 18 year-olds to 35 year-olds are the most hesitant.

In the past two years that Covid-19 has been with us for, life became difficult. Lockdowns were enforced and caused so many job losses businesses closed down and increased the unemployment rate.
As things stand, the unemployment rate in this country is very high, the country’s economy is crippled, electricity prices are high, the price of petrol increases every two months. The cost of living is just very high.
The infection rate of Covid-19 has increased, the numbers are increasing rapidly in the past few days. In the past 24 hours the numbers have gone up dramatically.
We are approaching the winter season and the numbers are expected to go higher in the next few months. This is something that we do not need in the country right now, as there is so much going on.
The country has recorded 4 406 Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, which is almost double yesterday’s cases. The total number of Covid-19 cases in the country is 3 750 830.
5 new Covid-19 related deaths have been identified in the past day, bringingthe total number of Covid-19 related deaths to 100 276.
There are currently 19 472 active cases and a positivity rate of 15.8%
