NPP Have The Men To Turn The Economy Around So NDC Shouldn’t Jubilate On EIU Report – PK Sarpong

Popular Writer for the ruling NPP, PK Sarpong has asserted that, NDC should not jubilate that they will win the 2024 elections if they change their presidential candidate John Mahama. He asserted that, it is unlikely for NPP to taste defeat in 2024 since two years is enough for them to turn the economy and things around.

In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, 20th April 2022, he wrote;

“Opposition elements are ecstatic as they have given their imprimatur to the EIU Report which says they are likely to win the next elections.

What they are in self-denial about is the fact that Mahama’s incompetence still rings a bell in the eyes and minds of the people and same would not let the electorate accept him.

These NDC members are in vehement disagreement with the same report they are hailing when it mentions that with John Dramani Mahama as the candidate for the opposition party, the NDC will not win the 2024 polls.

Key amongst the reasons EIU has given as the causal factors that would lead to the ruling party being shown the exit are the economic downturns, infrastructure and other items.

It is instructive to note that a two-year period is long enough for this administration to ensure that the economy recovers from the shocks it is facing. A defeat, even if all the other factors do not count much, would be averted because this government has the men to turn things around.

Infrastructure is something this administration has tackled head-on. Many roads are under construction and these would change things. The Agenda 111 will be another game-changer in the next elections if we are able to get them built.

In effect, while the NDC is grappling with whether to do away with their Konongo Kaya former president, John Mahama, or not, the fact still remains that there is enough room for us to work harder and get the dreaded 8-year cycle to be crossed.”
