The MP for Assin South Constituency who doubles as the Deputy Education Minister, Hon, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour has stressed the need for more religious tolerance to preserve the peace the country is enjoying.
He said we are one people, therefore, the youth should not allow themselves to be lured by unscrupulous selfish persons to cause violence.
He made the statement when he presented 30 bags of rice, 30 bags of sugar and other assorted food items to the Muslims in the Assin South District to support their Ramadan Fasting.
The Chief Imam of the Assin South Muslim confederation, Alhaji Saeed Yusif, receiving the items on behalf of the Muslim community described the MP as a blessing to the constituency. He also revealed that Hon. Ntim Fordjour is the first MP to sponsor a Muslim to Mecca to become an Alhaji.
He therefore urged the Muslims wholeheartedly to pray for peace to prevail to ensure development in the area.
