Cabinet secretary of internal security one Fred Matiangi has finally addressed a critical issue of what will happen during transition of power to the next regime. The powerful minister holding a critical docket in government was speaking in one of the leading media outlets. He however spoke of very many other issues in the government of Uhuru Kenyatta.
On transition of power, Matiangi said that it is will be smooth since we are not in a militia state. He stressed by quoting that Uhuru’s regime is not a criminal enterprise to fear possible punishment from anything.
The fearless minister has been alleged of being a fierce critic of deputy president William Ruto. He is on record at one political meeting in central Kenya saying that he can only report orders from the president and not anybody else. It Is however worth noting that they sit in the same committee of security with deputy president who is also a senior member after President Uhuru.
The minister has also been very silent compared to past days when he used to send a bombshell to government critics. Tbe Ruto allied squad has always blamed him on the tribulations they undergo in rallies like being denied letters to hold functions in some avenues.
