The Orange Democratic Movement Party leader Raila Odinga who is also the leader of the Azimio la Umoja team is working hard to ensure that he gets more votes from the Mt Kenya region.
The Mt Kenya region boasts of more than eight million registered voters who will allegedly share the votes to Deputy president William Ruto and others to Raila Odinga.
Nyeri Township Member of Parliament Hon Ngunjiri Wambugu has approximated the number of votes that Raila Odinga will get after he chooses his running mate from the Mt Kenya region.
According to Hon Ngunjiri Wambugu, Raila Amolo Odinga will allegedly get more than 55% votes from the Mt Kenya region which will also come after President Uhuru Kenyatta starts campaigning for him.
“Mt Kenya region has at least eight million votes from the registered voters. Raila Odinga has 30% so far ( which counts for 2.4 million). When we announce the DP from Mt Kenya region, it will get to 40% (accountsfor 4.6 million). Once President Uhuru hits the ground it will get to 55% (that is 4.4 million).” Hon Ngunjiri Wambugu stated.
