It’s so draining to spend two and a half hours cooking a meal from the heart, then have to hear people complaining about how you didn’t add enough salt or hearing your kid say they would rather have a peanut butter sandwich. That is exactly why I would rather eat out at a restaurant any day.
However, do you know exactly what you are eating? It’s also disconcerting to eat food prepared by a stranger. Did they wash their hands? Are the kitchen utensils clean? I usually try to just block these questions out and enjoy not having to cook.
When you come across people who behave in the worst manner possible in the food industry, it makes you lose hope in restaurants.
