Nelson Chamisa has cried out that there are threats to his life and members of his political family. The main opposition Citizen’s Coalition for Change leader says Zanu PF and state security agents have become so desperate that they always want to eliminate him and his main supporters at the slightest opportunity available, as shown by the killing on Sunday. The man further accused the ruling party of human rights abuses, saying that he and others will continue to speak out. He noted that some politicians within the ZANU-PF ruling party have formed the habit of eliminating their opposition, saying that this is a terrible political behaviour. He again stated that they are in a very dangerous world, citing what happened on Sunday is evidence. Furthermore, he said all these during a press briefing. The opposition leader revealed that they will not keep mute or quiet, rather, they will continue to speak.
Nelson Chamisa noted that attempts were made at his car, but he changed the car, saying that those making attempts on his life and the lives of his followers and supporters are very wicked and hard-hearted people. Recall that Zimbabwe is one of the countries with the highest abuses and intolerance on opposition parties.
