As the violent conflict between Russia and Ukraine continui, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa was recently asked about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine, and Cyril Ramaphosa responded by asking the United Nations Security Council to intervene and stop the violence in Ukraine.
“I call upon the United Nations Security Council to do their mediation work to resolve the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.” – Said Cyril Ramaphosa.

“Today marks 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and South Africa! Our interaction is distinguished by the strong bonds of friendship & cooperation established during the struggle against apartheid, which continue to develop today.” – Said the Russian government.
