South Africa has seen an increase in areas of political members with high positions mainly because of corrupt and fraudulent activities.
The former acting mpumalanga education department head was arrested on the 25th of February.
His arrest was after an investigation concluded that he was part of fraudulent activities that included public finance.
Jabulani Nkosi was arrested and charged with contravention of the Public Finance Management Act during PPE procurement, valued at some R21 million.
After he appeared in court he was granted R10 000 bail and the matter was postponed to April pending further investigations.
Together with the mpumalanga education department had other members that are believed to have been working wit hhim, were also arrested.
The fraudulent activities included corruption with the personal protective equipment that was needed for Corona virus.
