African National Congress is gearing up towards its national elective conference in December, the RET forces are hopeful that they will emerge victorious amid several endorsements made for Cyril Ramaphosa to contest for a second term by his allies.
The RET forces argue that ANC under the administration of president Cyril Ramaphosa is no longer a leader of society, but “an NGO of Rupert.”
It is from this background, that the Radical Economic Transformation forces want to shift a few things within the ANC once they take over at the national conference in December.
“When we take over ANC. We will propose that, ANC president must not be a country’s president. ANC president position will be permanent in Luthuli House.
ANC deputy president can be deployed as president of the country. ANC is in trouble. It must be saved,” an RET force said.

RET champion, and former Free State Premier, Ace Magashule is however said to have lost influence in his home province which he had controlled for two decades.
Some of his loyal comrades are alleged to have joined Cyril’s camp and are part of those Ramaphosa to contest for a second term.
Ace Magashule however has long revealed that he know of some comrades in the Free State, some whom he had helped, who are now going behind his back speaking bad things.
He said he has no problem with those who say bad things about him as he knows what he has done for the people of Free State and some of them are still supporting him each time he appears in court for his corruption trial.
RET comrades believe it is former president Thabo Mbeki who visited the province few weeks ago and addressed a factional meeting under the guise of ‘unity and renewal, along with Cyril Ramaphosa’s ally Mxolisi Dukwana who are pushing the narrative that Ace Magashule no longer has influence in Free State.
