Members of the Johannesburg Flying Squad have secured the successful arrest of five suspects after they caught them in the act of stealing four vehicles and also found an unlicensed firearm with ammunition in their possession.
According to the saps news report, on Saturday, 26 February 2022 members of the Johannesburg Flying Squad got information from a suspect who they arrested for vehicle theft about a planned vehicle theft which is taking place in Rosebank, police responded to this information and went to the given location.
Upon their arrival, they caught five suspects in the act of stealing four vehicles, the suspects were thoroughly searched and car breaking implements, an unlicensed firearm, ammunition and signal jammer were found in their possession, further investigation revealed that two vehicles of the suspects were also stolen.
All five suspects were immediately arrested and charged with vehicle theft and being in possession of an unlicensed firearm with ammunition, they will soon make an appearance in court to face the charges.
