The SAPS Maitland Flying Squad members assist by the members of the Hawks Serious crime intelligence have arrested a total of 10 suspects aged between 25 and 55 for being in possession of stolen property, the arrest occurred in Maitland (Western Cape Province).
According to the intelligence Bureau South Africa news report, on Thursday, 24 February 2022 the SAPS Maitland Flying Squad members assisted by the Hawks Serious crime intelligence, recieved intelligence information about a hijacking that occurred were suspects stole goods inside a truck that was on its way to make a delivery.
Police spotted a suspicious truck travelling on the road and stopped it, a search was conducted and a discovery of the stolen goods was made, police immediately secured the arrest of 10 suspects aged between 25 and 55 for being in possession of stolen property, they will also be charged with hijacking.
The suspects will make an appearance in court next week to face the said charges.
