A series of school related protests on a rise in Eastern Cape : Here is the reason

The SABC reported that the province of Eastern Cape had been hit by a series of school related protests in the previous two weeks. These protests have had a negative impact on the learning as well as the teaching processes at the affected schools .

The protests which have taken place in various parts of the province have been triggered by the fact that human rights have been hindered .Issues such as transport challenges , insufficient school infrasructure , insufficient teachers as well as sanitation .Langkloof School is one of the schools that has been severely affected .The school has to shut its doors at the end of last year and is still closed .The school was converted from a primary school to a high school .Parents are disappointed that schooling may not continue because of outstanding issues such as ablution facilites that are reported to be bad .

The quality of the water is reported to bw bad as well .The school is alleged to be not having stationary and teachers as well .The parents took their concerns to the streets and it will be three months without school for learners in March .
