I am Ashamed of Being a Zimbabwean after Seeing Rosettenville Robbery, I Apologize – Zim Man

The influx of undocumented Zimbabweans into South Africa has become a major source of frustration for the country’s residents.

In South Africa for four years, illegal Zimbabweans were able to reside and work there under the Zimbabwe exemption permit. Despite the termination of this privilege, many of the persons who were granted it have not yet left the country.

A ring of armed cash-in-transit criminals rushed police in the Johannesburg suburb of Rosettenville only yesterday.

The robbers and police engaged in a long-lasting gun battle as they sped through traffic.

While four police officers sustained minor injuries, an estimated eight militants were killed during the operation. Injured police officers spent the night in city hospitals fighting for their lives following the shootings. As a result of the inquiry, eight more people were detained.

On Twitter, Zimbabwean Clayton Shirini expresses his disapproval of his brother’s behavior in Rosettenville.

He was humiliated to be a Zimbabwean because he realized that Operation Dudula had been justified. He called on Zimbabweans living in South Africa to come to their senses.

This is how he put it: “

I am sorry for my lack of awareness of the situation in South Africa. I’ve always assumed that Zimbabweans couldn’t commit serious crimes because of the country’s low crime rate, but today’s events have made me ashamed. In my opinion, Operation Dula is a good idea. Zimbabwe’s government must do something!”
