Statistics that were shared on Thursday by the National Institute for Communicable Diseases showed that there were three provinces that recorded less than 100 new Covid-19 cases .

Northern Cape recorded the lowest number of new positive Covid-19 cases , having 43 cases . Eastern Cape on the other hand recorded less than 100 cases , and had 85 cases . Limpopo was the third province with 69 cases , hence the third province with less than 100 new cases . South Africa has recorded more than 3.6-million positive Covid-19 cases as of Thursday the 24th of February 2022.
