DJ Zinhle Gets Dragged Into AKA’s Drama: Eish, Can Zinhle Rest

Source: zalebs

After the death of his friend Riky Rick, AKA’s message to men and women about mental health didn’t land as he expected. In his heartfelt message, he pointed to men’s mental health and encouraged men to reset and return to family values, as well as church attendance. But while his message was well-intentioned, social media users brought up his past indiscretions involving his child’s mother, DJ Zinhle.

Riky Rick’s death has brought more talk about depression and how cyberbullying has a direct impact on people’s mental health. People who condone bullying do not have a clean record of not being bullied.

Take Anele Mdoda, who told people to stay the same because the tweeps bullied Patrick Shai and Riky Rick. But she remembered how she bullied Kelly Rowland, saying she was unattractive, and refused to apologize for it.

Then you have Pearl Thusi, who is also reminded that she indirectly bullied Bonang after her ex-boyfriend and alleged abuser called her Hlanyo. Pearl jokingly tells Euphonik that she is also hlanyo and has become a “pick-me”.

Now, AKA is drugging his past, which includes claims that Bonang used black magic to win him over from DJ Zinhle. And the saga of Anele Tembe, who was filmed breaking a door to find her, and all the drama that culminated in her untimely death.

Tweeps won’t let AKA forget his past easily:

A visibly distraught AKA said in his message that he had lost five people, four of them men, to suicide. 1 Apparently his late fiancé Anele.

He then points out how broken the men in this society are, and the imminent change of residence.

“I hope we can resolve the hurt and brokenness of men in this country soon. We have no one to talk to, we just pat each other on the back and say, ‘Keep working hard, be strong my boie’…but the actual On, we are traumatized.

“The trauma passed on from generation to generation is passed on to us. Ladies, we are not perfect by any means…but damn, we are crying for your approval, your love and affection. Please, we can Reset and go back to family values?! Can we? (myself included) start going to church again. Please, can we have some kind of conversation about men in this country because protecting you, providing and caring for you is us Responsibility.”

He then called for change as men now more than ever take their own lives, “We can’t get this to work without each other. We desperately need your help. This is so painful. Please don’t forget Us. We’re not perfect by any means, but damn… look at the stats, we’re taking our own lives at record highs. Something has to change.”
