The death of an eighty five years old woman from Capetown left people living in fear and heartbroken. Charlotte Madolo from Gugulethu in Capetown was found murdered in her bedroom . She was found dead by her two granddaughters. It was also confirmed that she got raped before the suspect killed her. Her body was found with stab wounds and bruises.After killing her the suspect entangled her body in a t-shirt with her eye gouged. It looks like she tried to fight back but sadly it did not end well . A forty eight years old man has been arrested in connection with her death.
This is such a cruel world indeed as men do not hesitate to force themselves on old people and sadly deciding to end their lives. It’s sad to see women living in fear because of these senseless people. What have women done to deserve such a harsh treatment. We have lost so many women both young and old whose lives ended in the hands of abusive men. Almost everyday cases of murder get to be reported and sadly nothing gets done about it.
Witnessing this must have traumatized her granddaughters and it will take a lot of time for them to heal from such. This will always haunt them for as long as they live. People have reacted on this incident and revealed that the man should be sent to jail for what he did. What is wrong with this generation as people do not hesitate to kill others. You get to wonder what is wrong with South African men as cases like this continue to be reported. Women are always crying almost everyday living in fear and nothing gets done about it.
Opinion : For as long as the country continues to fail women, men will always do as they like. Sending them to jail for months seem to be not enough as they always continue with their acts. It’s clear that the government is becoming too soft on these men. They deserve a punishment that will send a strong message to others in all parts of the country.
