Today’s generation of school children are making it difficult for teachers at school. Teachers don’t even feel safe when they are at school as they don’t know what their learners might do.
We have read about how a vice principal was murdered by matriculants who had failed their exams. We have also seen the videos that are posted on social media showing school learners being disrespectful to teachers and even laying their hands on them. Unfortunately this is something that Angie Motshekga is turning a blind eye to.
A video was shared on social media that shows two young boys who are in primary school demonstrating infront of teachers how they use their pocket knives after they were found with them. This goes to show that it’s no longer safe even for our children who are in primary school.
Children in primary school aren’t able to control their emotions and are more likely to act on how they feel, so had these two boys been offended by other learners or teachers, they would have stabbed them.
