KZN premier Mr. Sihle Zikalala was on Thursday having the State Of The Province Adress (SOPA) to outline KZN plan for the year 2022. The address was aimed at giving details on how the province is going to revive the economy. Today’s proceeding was attended by His Majesty King MisuZulu KaZwelithini.
The King of Amazulu nation, Misuzulu kaZwelithini is finally having his shine. In the midst of a dramatic throne battle, Misuzulu has strong support from Amabutho. During Premier Sihle Zikalala’s State of the Province Address, regiments flanking Misuzulu made a statement that the King is untouchable! One of the members of the Zulu regiments that accompanied King Misuzulu to the state of the province address by Premier Sihle Zikalala in Pietermaritzburg was carrying a shield written “there is only one King in KwaZulu”. This was to make a statement to the other royal family members fighting for the crown.
The writing on the shield got some Zulu people who are against Misuzulu becoming King. “He’s not even king of the Zulus, let alone of the province. He’s nothing more than a private citizen in terms of our constitutional democracy,” a Zulu Twitter user said.
Meanwhile, the opening of the KwaZulu-Natal legislature was abruptly stopped after the EFF demanded to know why the King of the Zulu nation, King Misuzulu kaZwelithini was not part of the proceedings as expected when the body kicks off its yearly business. The King was dramatically late.
King Misuzulu created a stir when he finally arrived at the SOPA after much anticipation. His arrival forced Premier Sihle Zikalala to halt his speech midway and allow the people to give him a royal salute. Prince Misuzulu KaZwelithini received a standing ovation and a salute fit for a king when he arrived at the KwaZulu-Natal state of the province address.
King Misuzulu kaZwelithini is tired of Sihle Zikalala’s administration playing hide-and-seek with the Zulu Royal House succession debate. That late arrival and commotion caused by his entrance was necessary to assert his authority as the rightful heir to the throne. We are happy Misuzulu is finally flexing some muscle, showing people who is King. We love that for him…don’t you?
