South Africans are currently not pleased with the high level of crime and unemployment rate ravaging the country at the moment. This is why young persons across every nook and cranny of our country are rising to compel government to do something about the whole situation.
According to a report from South Africa’s Department of statistics, youth unemployment is currently placed at 74 percent and it is expected to grow by 2023.
However, pressure groups like ‘Put South Africa First’ and Operation dudula have claimed that the high rate of unemployment is caused by uncontrollable influx of foreign nationals into South Africa.
Meanwhile, a concern South African man known as Wethi on Twitter have advised unemployed South African graduates to come out with their graduation gown and certificates any time Operation dudula is conducting a protest, so that the government will understand how serious the people are.
In his statement on Twitter, he said:
“The Put South Africans First and Operation Dudula, when they match, all South Africans who are Graduates should wear their gowns. this is serious, lets take our weapons like; degrees, diploma, matriculation certificates, everything.”
