According to accounts, eight members of a group of around 25 criminals were shot and killed by police after a botched cash-in-transit heist went horribly wrong in Rossetenville, Johannesburg, yesterday (Monday, February 21). The surviving group members were able to leave the area after eight more persons were apprehended.
Following the horrible tragedy in Rossetenville, some Zimbabweans flocked to Twitter to show their anger, and some even extended messages of apology and forgiveness to South Africans. Try looking at what a handful of them even had to say about the situation after it happened.
In Zimbabwe, the police and civilians have never fought; to do so on foreign territory is terror, and there’ll never be any justification for it. The Zimbabwean government must convey its disappointment with the incident and apologize to the South African government. The only alternative accessible to the SA GVT is mass expulsion. #Rosettenville “
“I’m a Zimbabwean, and these Zimbos must leave my nation. It’s awful what they’re doing.”
“As a Zimbabwean, I consider that mass expulsion from South Africa is necessary due to the country’s international brand being tarnished. This is absolutely intolerable.”
