Zimbabweans, Nigerians, Congolese are disrespectful and the soldiers are to balme – Opinion.

The recent cash in transit (CIT) robbery attempt in Johannesburg has opened a can of worms.

With a number of foreign nationals arrested or killed by the police on Monday, 21 February after a gun fight, many have taken social media to share their views on illegal nationals in the country.

“-EFF brought a Malawian to Parliament

-ANC brought a Chinese to Parliament

-DA brought an Italian to Parliament

How do you expect them to address the issue of foreigners?

#PutSouthAficansFirst” – @maps_pj.

“This is the person who is talking the truth about foreigners. Zimbabweans, Nigerians, Congolese are disrespectful. Not all of them but most of them and the police and soldiers are to be blamed. They turned our country into a lawless because of greed. https://t.co/8x3UqoQClz” – @dikgoba.

Despite the ugly scenes and images that emerged online, some Tweeps still disagree on how to best deal with the issue of illegal foreigners in the country.

“Bheki Cele is a bloody lier and an old fool who thrive in creating hatred amongst Africans

Criminality must never be treated according to tribes, race nor citizenship.. Treat criminals the same way you treat other criminals.

#Rosettenville #Foreigners https://t.co/6UMuIZus7r” – @McebisiNdebele.

“Zimbabweans used to cause havoc in Botswana and Botswana government took a very strong decision to close the boarders. If you were from Zim only allowd for a business trip with specific days for your stay” – @MalopeVictor.
