It seems like no one is agreeing with the statement of former president Thabo Mbeki.
According to former president Thabo Mbeki, if the governing party were to collapse, the country would become ungovernable. Many politicians have disagreed with him, Herman Mashaba who said “is Thabo Mbeki planning to destabilize and render the country ungovernable in the event of the collapse of ANC? A prosperous South Africa and the ANC cannot coexist in one space. One has to die, and it cannot be South Africans whether Mbeki likes it or not “.
Tito Mboweni also added” I heard president Mbeki speaking somewhere about a Nation. He is wrong. We are not yet a nation but a nation in formation. We are still divided. We might occupy the same geographic location. Nation, nope I am willing to debate. At the root of my disagreement with what president Mbeki said is the national question sharing the same flag, good. Supporting the sports clubs is good. But do we share the same national sentiment, No”?
This has caused debates, and some people started to attack Mboweni because he did nothing while he was in power.
