Zimbabwean police concerned about increases in rape cases

Zimbabwean police concerned over rape cases by landlords . The Zimbabwean police are reported to have expressed concerns over the increase in rape cases that involve landlords .and close relatives .

The law enforcement agencies made a call to the members of the public not to leave their children in the care of people whom they do not know .The Zimbabwe Republic Police reportedly said in its Twitter page that there had been a surge in regard to rape cases in which perpetrators had been identified as being landlords , brothers , uncles ,cousin brothers and grandmothers .

The police called on members of the public not to leave children , especially girls , in the care of males .It was made known that on the 10th of February , a grandfather reportedly raped an infant aged five in Lupane . In another case , a 16 year old was allegedly raped by a 45 year old grandfather .
