This morning at about 01:30 at Indumiso DUT campus had 9 cars set alight at about 2 am by unknown suspects, this is a serious crisis considering the fact that these could possibly be learners who’re destroying valuables that they can’t even afford.
They are creating more problems from the fact that they have issues with their unpaid fees, yet they have the audacity to burn down vehicles that cost hundreds of thousands of rands if not millions.
Approximately 8/10 people attacked a security guard from the pedestrian gate along Edendale road set a guard house with petrol bomb whilst the guard was inside, however the guard was able to successfully get out of the house before he was burned down to death and that’s why I think many individuals who do not really do the right thing in this country and it is something that has to be corrected because lot of issues that are going on is because of the citizens.
He ran away towards Protection Services offices calling for backup, they followed him and approached parking bays where they thrown petrol bombs and 9 vehicles caught fire and burnt. This is very reminiscent of the years when the police simply did the same thing, and ended up in a situation where the students are stones and burning structures.
Then there are learners who ended up getting arrested because of what they did and because of that it has since been a lot of problems they come back to school, but they are unable to really do what they have to do in terms of learning because individuals like this do not follow the rules and there are incidences where a lot of destruction happens.
They ran away towards Edendale Road, it was further revealed that two vehicle with ND registrations were spotted driving at a high speed toward PMB Central Business District.
