Former Free State Premier and ANC comrade, Ace Magashule has finally spoke out about Jacob Zuma’s nine wasted years where massive capture of the state by the Gupta family is said to have happened.
Those serving under Cyril Ramaphosa’s administration continue to put blame on Jacob Zuma arguing that it is because of his state capture phase which paralyzed numerous state owned enterprises that are struggling to flourish and might end up being privatised.
Magashule however doesn’t quite agree with the notion that Zuma captured the state on his own. He argues that the state entities that were being captured were under ANC deployees who were not appointed by the former president, but ANC itself.
“When you blame Zuma for the nine wasted years, can you please blame the entire cabinet is South Africa under the African National Congress because deployment was not done by Zuma. It was done by the ANC,” he said.
Ace Magashule further argued that there is need for ANC comrades to forgive each other. He cites that he finds its disturbing that several ANC comrades spoke highly of FW De Klerk the apartheid racist and forgave him after committing crimes against humanity, yet they can’t forgive their fellow comrades.
