Some time back Mac G once indicated that there are big brand media houses particularly radio stations that are sabotaging the Podcast and Chill. This time the City Press published an article title ”When you’re tired of listening to Mac G”. The article is seen as a way of the Podcast and Chill viewers to leave for other podcast. Most of the chillers viewers did not understand what Mac G was saying back then but now everything came out to light.
On the article Janice Phiri wrote ”finding good podcasts can prove to be a trying task, especially with so many on our radar. No worries though we’ve got you covered”. Phiri shared more about podcast they wanted viewers to listen to. As formal radio stations lose ground with audiences, a more personal approach to radio is on the rise with the evolution of podcasts.
Phiri list a number of Podcast viewers can listen to when they are tired of listening to Mac G.
1.The NDL show hosted by Nondu Lehutso is more focused on creatives and entertainment but the podcast also focused on lesser known entertainment acts.
2.The almost perfect Podcast was placed at number 2 is hosted by Bob Perfect. The podcast is all about experiences and learning.
3.True crime SA , the crime focused has its own website which highlights crime statistics in the country.
4.The lesser known somebodies is hosted by the critically acclaimed comedian Simmi Areff.
5.Last is the good things guy which is regarded as the podcast that features only the best and uplifting news hosted by Brent Lindeque.
Opinion: The City Press might be in some sort of network with the radio station that the Podcast and Chill host, Mac G Mukwevho once claim are trying to sabotage their Podcast. Mac G claimed that the a certain Social Media influence was payed to sabotage the podcast. The social media influence asked Mac G to top-up an offer he or she had received to talk bad about their podcast. It is believed that Podcast and chill is becoming popular among the viewers. It is also believed that podcast are taking away radio stations listeners.
