While education is free, unfortunately school uniform is not. Most schools have a design uniform which only be bought from selected shops at exhortation prices.
Mopani District Municipality in Limpopo is embarking on an ambitious quest to ensure that all learners have school shores. Residents are encouraged to identify such learners and let the municipality know.
You are requested to take a picture of the shoes, not a learner, provide details and the picture to the municipality. The municipality will then buy new shoes for the learner.
It is positive to see municipality caring about education of their residents. Most learners drop out schools due to lack of proper uniform. This initiative will be a Godsend for many in the area.
