A driver in the minibus that killed 9 pupils was charged with culpable homicide – The man who was behind the wheel when nine pupils lost their lives was charged with culpable homcide . The man identified as Nkosinathi Sibanyonu reportedly made his first court appearance on Friday the 18th of February in the Mayflower Magistrate’s Court .
Nkosinathi got arrested on Wednesday when the minibus that he was driving overturned . It was made known by the National Prosecuting Authority that besides the nine charges of Culpable homicide that were being faced by the driver , he was also facing a charge of driving a minibus that was unroadworthy . It was also stated that the minibus did not have a licence either .The case was however postponed to the 2nd of March 2022 . He will remain in custody until his next court appearance in the same place .
