South Africa is one of the countries that has a record of not treating women with respect or abusing them. There have been so many cases of men who abuse or harass women, regardless of the reason for such acts. Just a few days ago, there was a story about a police officer who, according to reports, had been abusing his ex-girlfriend and had shot her at Tembisa Hospital last week.we hear about new cases of men abusing women in Mzanzi. It seems as if South African men are failing to manage their anger because the government has been trying so hard to put a stop to this, but it never seems to end.

Just when we thought the Tembisa incident had raised awareness on the issue of harassing women, there’s another disturbing video that is making the rounds on social media. In the video, a lady requests a bolt to take her to an undisclosed destination, but the total cost for the ride was R391. When they arrived at the destination, the lady told the driver that she didn’t have to get out of the car. As she was leaving, the driver grabbed her and demanded her money. He was holding her in an inappropriate way because he was grabbing her clothes and even damaging her shoes as he was pulling her with her clothes. The lady kept on beating around, saying she would withdraw money, then change and said she would call someone to bring the money. All her stories were evident that she didn’t have money and the driver wasn’t letting her go. The way this driver was harassing her was very sad because she’s just a lady and he didn’t have to use force.
What’s even worse is that there was another fellow driver who was filming her. Those drivers were supporting each other and attaching her with words. The way they were talking to her was kind of harassing, although the second driver didn’t touch her. The driver took her phone and demanded his money. As they were busy squabbling, the lady saw another guy passing and “sweet greeted” him, hoping that maybe he would pay for her, but he didn’t. It was a very sad moment for this lady to be caught in such a situation and also for the driver to lose so much money.
It is not evident how they resolved this because this was the only part of the video that was posted. After this video was posted, this lady was grilled and called names for not respecting other people’s hustle. Many people in the comments section attested that many girls request a bolt without money, hoping that maybe the driver will be into them and not make them pay. Although there were some people who slammed the lady for this, there are also some who are not happy about how the driver was touching her. See some comments below:

This lady was wrong for requesting without money, but the driver didn’t have to manhandle her like this. He could have simply taken her phone and left her with his number so that she could come and get it when she has money to pay for the ride. This is what most ladies think too. They think they are every man’s weakness, which is why they tend to take advantage of situations.
