The issue of bullying in schools is not only experienced by learners but it is also experienced by teachers, especially those that are new graduates. They are obviously likely to make simple and non detrimental mistakes as they learn and grow as teachers. This is one reason the political party led by Julius Malema, EFF, once raised this matter and came with an idea that old teachers must go home and rest and allow new teachers to play their part without any bullying.
Thandeka Tolo is a born again Christian, mother, daughter, sister and finally an educator by profession. Ms Tolo always shared her daily experiences as a teacher with her Twitter followers. Today is one of those days where she is not having it all together because of a group of old teachers who have long been where she is teaching who bully her. She continued to share that the old teachers that she is working with have no respect at all and if she retaliates she will be told that she has no respect for old people. Ms Tolo says she opted to close her mouth and just allow tears to gush down her cheeks. It is really sad for someone to wake up with a happy mood to go to work for the last time this week since it’s Friday only find out they’re going to have a bad day at work.
