African countries are developing nations, which means that they struggle more than developed nations, and most of them are dependent on developing nations for financial assistance. South Africa is one African country with an economy that is better than most other African economies, and it is one country that gains a lot of attraction from developed nations.
And because it is an African country that seems like it does not struggle like most, many foreign nationals from other African countries come to South Africa to seek opportunities that are not available in their own countries and to look for better living conditions for themselves and their families, which means that once they are in the country, they are able to benefit from the economy as well. South Africa is home to millions of foreigners, legal and illegal.
But even though it seems like South Africa is the land of milk and honey to those who do not live there, its citizens are struggling. South Africa is one country that has the highest unemployment rate, inequality rate, and poverty rate. On a daily basis, there are thousands of citizens who live from hand to mouth and are unable to put food on the table. And it seems like the South African economy is becoming worse and worse by the day because things are becoming more expensive while people’s salaries are staying put.
Because the economy is so bad, a man on social media claimed that South Africans will one day seek refuge in Zimbabwe because South Africa is a ticking time bomb, the same way Zimbabweans are seeking refuge in other African countries, South Africa, because of how bad their country is economically.
