South Africa has been on lockdown from March of 2020. This was after the country hit by covid-19 and this was seen as what could be the best fast measure to prevent the spread of this pandemic.
It is not only South Africa which introduced lockdown but more than 80% of the world governments. Although things have been going back to normal bit by bit, the country is still under lockdown.
Many weew hoping that president Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa on Thursday during the State Of the Nation Address will announce the end of lockdown within the borders of the republic of South Africa, which he didn’t.
Minister of Health in the republic of South Africa Joe Phaahla informed public that, the lockdown will be amongst the mist of the republic of South Africa for another year.
Speaking to the Sunday Times, Phaahla said this is likely to include rules around the wearing of wearing masks, sanitising, social distancing, and limiting the size of gatherings.
This won’t be a good news to many South Africans who seems tired of lockdown and the Democratic Alliance had already expressed its dissatisfaction over lockdown.
