On his Twitter page, Dele Momodu, publisher of Ovation International Magazine and a presidential candidate for the People Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 election in Nigeria, posted a photo of the late Veronica Adeleke, mother of Davido.
Dele Momodu disclosed that he had recently discovered the biggest throwback photo of Davido’s vivacious mother, Mrs. Veronica Adeleke, which was taken nearly 22 years ago at the Lagos Sheraton & Towers, Ikeja, for his 40th birthday party.

He pays tribute to the late singer-mother as a pinnacle of beauty and prays for her soul to find eternal peace and rest.
According to reports, Veronica died on March 6, 2003, at the age of 39, on the same day that her husband, Adedeji Adeleke, celebrated his 40th birthday.

He wrote on the bird app;
The biggest throwback… Just found the picture of the vivacious Mum of @davido MRS VERONICA ADELEKE, a paragon of beauty, at my 40th birthday celebration nearly 22 years ago, at Lagos Sheraton & Towers, Ikeja.. May her gentle soul continue to rest in peace….
In other news, a boy supposed to be under 5 years has urged his mother to desist from displaying his photos online in a video which has gone viral on social media.
He exclaimed that many people might think that he is one of the bad people on the internet so he doesn’t want to see himself on social media.
