The minority caucus have finally done the unexpected after finally revealing another secret why the most anticipated 2022 budget containing the E-levy was rejected by the largest opposition party, NDC aside declaring their final stance on the alarming issue.

Speaking in a recent press conference, the minority leader, Haruna Iddrissu took the privilege to reveal the main reason behind the largest opposition’s decision on rejecting the passing of the most anticipated E-levy aloft other related issues.

According to the Minority leader, Haruna Iddrissu highlighted that, the implementation of the most anticipated E-levy would eventually cause more harm than good to the people of Ghana aside benefiting the incumbent government rather than Ghanaian citizens.

In addition to this, the minority leader, Haruna Iddrissu made it clear that, the E-levy will never be accepted by the minority even if the majority used the law court to tilt power in their favor by charging the Assin North MP with forgery and perjury over alleged failure to declare dual citizenship status.

“The desperate Akufo Addo government, Attorney General and Police administration are acting in bad faith to get an unfair advantage in parliament for the Nana Akufo Addo and Bawumia government in its quest to pass unpopular E-levy, which remains a major disincentive to the development of our digital economy and an apparent is regard for their own quest for a cash like economy. We don’t want to believe neither do we want to accept that they want to use the court to tilt the valve of power. We simply will not support E-levy “, Haruna Iddrissu emphatically revealed.

Do you think that the incumbent government is trying to use the Assin North MP case to tilt the balance of power in parliament as claimed by the Minority leader, Haruna Iddrissu even though most individuals claimed otherwise?
