How The Lifestyle Of The Boy Who Was Called ‘Monkey’ Has Changed After His Story Went Viral

Discrimination on the basis of one’s appearance is unfortunately a common practice all over the world. At the receiving end of such mistreatment is Zanziman Ellie of Rwanda, a 22-year-old man born with a disorder called microcephaly, a condition where a baby’s head is much smaller the body.

Zanziman Ellie, is from Rwanda, he can not speak, he eats grass and like playing in the Jungle. Bullies call him monkey, due to his facial appearance and his character, he spend most of his time in the forest and feeds on grass like an animal before his life turn around.

Photos shared on social media recently show Zanziman smiling and posing in his suit, which also features a waistcoat and a jacket. The 22-year-old, called names for his appearance, now looks sharp and dapper in his black suit and the white shirt that he wears to school. Yes, he is going to school.

For the most part of his life, he has had to endure the harshness of locals. His mother, who shared her experience with a regional channel in 2020, said she had lost five of her children before Ellie was born. She said he was the answer to her prayers at a time when she had given up hopes of having children.

However, a documentary film about Ellie created last year appears to have had a significant impact on the public’s perception of Ellie. On Afrimax TV, the documentary was followed by a campaign to raise money for Ellie and his mother, and the Gofundme page got donations from people all over the world.

The money was utilized to help Ellie, who was previously unable to continue his studies due to his medical condition. His new school is located in Gisenyi, Rwanda, and Ellie has already made a ‘number of friends’ there. In addition to being well-dressed, he attends school every day with his classmates, always donning a custom-made suit.

Ellie has become quite the local celebrity in his village after the documentary aired and is often stopped by people on the streets who want to take pictures with him. He’s now a blessing to his mother. The rejected has become the head stone me Dr look down on any one or think you’re better than anyone.
