GPL: Sulley Ali Muntari To Make A Debut Appearance For Accra Hearts Of Oak On Sunday

Accra Hearts of Oak’s new arrival Sulley Ali Muntari is available for selection as they host Accra Great Olympics in the Ga Mantse Derby at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday. The UEFA Champions League winner Sulley Ali Muntari was unveiled by the Phobians in the course of the week.

For several weeks, rumors of Ali Muntari’s arrival at Accra Hearts of Oak had gone viral but the official announcement by the defending champions put all to rest.

As they appear to be struggling in the Ghana Premier League, the arrival of the former Inter Milan midfielder could change the atmosphere in the team’s camp.

Having trained with the team for many days, head coach Samuel Boadu must have been able to assess him and determine his readiness for an official debut appearance.

Accra Hearts of Oak hope to beat cross city rivals Accra Great Olympics to make advances towards the league table’s summit. As a result of that, coach Samuel Boadu will definitely parade a formidable squad to keep all points at home. They will open up play, keep ball as many as they can and hit the opponent with the slightest of opportunity.

The quest to pocket three points could prepare the grounds for Sulley Ali Muntari to make his first appearance in a competitive game for the rainbow club.

If Sulley Ali Muntari is to enjoy a maiden appearance, coach Samuel Boadu may opt for him to join the fray in the second half, as he could use first half to study the game and bring fresh energy and ideas for success. In such instances, Ali Muntari’s introduction will tighten the midfield and serve a major backup for his colleague upfront to get goal. His thunderbolts and long drive will be vital for team success.

It will be an important decision for coach Samuel Boadu to make, but a debut game for Sulley Ali Muntari may impact positively for the Phobians.
