Johnnie Hughes, a presenter a TV3 has today sent some messages to the president of the republic.
Speaking on New Day Program on TV3, Johnnie criticized the ability of the president to appoint various MMDCEs. Johnnie made it clear that the president promised to let Ghanaians vote for their own MMDCEs but he hasn’t fulfilled such promise.
He added that this appointment the MMDCEs should be done by the citizens of the constituency and not the president.
Johnnie Hughes explained his point by saying that when the MMDCEs are being appointed by the president, they tend to avoid members of the constituency and do whatever they want. He added that these MMDCEs fail to listen to citizens and only send good reports to the president annually.
He is therefore urging the president to allow Ghanaians to vote for their district chief executives as he(The President) promised some years ago. He is urging the president to be a man of his words and fulfil such promise.
