The reason why Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has kept silent on the E-levy Brouhaha.

The approval of the E-levy Bill has been opposed by the Minority in Parliament and some Ghanaians.

Since the introduction of the Electronic Levy Bill during the reading of the 2022 budget statement there has been brouhaha concerning the passage of the levy at Parliament,

The president of Ghana, Nana Addo had his first say about the controversial Electronic Levy Bill recently, but what keep Ghanaians thinking is why Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who is the Vice President oh Ghana has kept mute on the E-levy.

Today, on New Day on TV3, Berla Mundi has revealed the reason why, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has kept silent on the E-levy brouhaha.

According Berla Mundi, the Bawumia has kept mute about the e-levy because, he disproved taxing mobile money transactions sometime in the past, so it has become difficult for him to endorse the passing of the levy.

“Why are we not hearing from the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia about the whole E-Levy brouhaha, it’s been too loud. It base on the fact that he said the exact opposite of what is happening today, that the Mobile Money (MoMo) will not be taxed in the past.” Berla Mundi said.

Berla Mundi also told the Vice President that we really want to hear his thoughts on the E-levy.

Could it be that, Dr. Bawumia also disapprove the controversial E-levy? Leave your comments below, share and follow for more updates.
