The police is expected to protect the law by making sure that citizens are law-abiding. This is a very difficult task which can be made simple if handled nicely. They must know that no one is above the law no matter their status and therefore, must act accordingly.
Well, sometimes these law enforcers deviate from the normal expected behavior. They sometimes look at the high positions they have, and get to disregard the rules knowing that no one will hold them responsible. This is the issue at stake, since no one literally watches the watchman.
This early morning has got people condemning a Nigerian policeman for the acts he showed in public. I do not know if there is something wrong with him because his actions are unpardonable.
In a trending picture, you see an inscription attached to a wall which goes like, “Do not urinate here, order by police. Defaulter will be prosecuted”. This is a clear inscription but a policeman decided to break the law, right in front of the warning.
He was spotted urinating under the warning like it was no one’s business. Imagine how he would have ranted and demanded for money if a civilian had done this. I think the statement about no one being above the law only works on paper because taking it to action, the authorities don’t really mean it!!!
