Just In: Bawah Mogtari To Akufo-Addo- Admit Mahama Introduced Prudent Economic Policies.

Special Aide to John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawah Mogtari has shared that it is about time President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo admitted that the former president managed Ghana’s economy very well with the introduction of good policies.

According to her, hardships in the country and the poor state of the country’s economy have hit the sitting president very hard to the extent that he has now become a humble person.

Speaking to TV3, Joyce Bawah Mogtari shared that the President should swallow pride, and admit that the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) government did a great job in managing the economy of this country.

“I think the president actually looks humble than I have ever seen him sound since the last few years. So he knows now, how tough it is to keep up this balancing act.

“But I think he can go further, I think he can show even more remorse by admitting that whatever prudent management policies that the NDC introduced under Mills [and] under Mahama were actually one of the best that they could have done for this country,” the aid to ex-president John Dramani Mahama said.

Waving into the conversation of the controversial Electronic Transaction Levy (E-Levy), Joyce Bawah Mogtari stressed that the money of the poor should not be taxed as she borrowed words from Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

“The E-levy, in his own vice president’s voice, was money belonging to the very poor and therefore should not be subjected to taxation,” Joyce Bawah Mogtari indicated.
