Abdul Malik Kweku Baako an astute oldie in the journalism sector has delved into the famous allegations raised against the current president of the republic of Ghana His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. 

He made an understandable response to this claim with a well detailed information on the matter and the attempt made by many to still question the president’s barrister life.

He wrote: “I thought the malicious crusade against Akufo-Addo’s credentials as a lawyer was dead and buried apparently, I was wrong”.

“There are still some “doubting Thomasis” out there, who continue to believe in the allegations been pioneered by a former Supreme Court Judge, Justice Kpegah who embarked on a campaign of character assassination against Akufo-Addo in 2007 and 2008 to the effect that he [Akufo-Addo] was not a lawyer. And also that he was impersonating somebody else”. 

He sounded that “irrespective of the abysmal and inept performance of the former Supreme Court Justice in the High Court and the unfruitful outcome of his pursuit of vendetta and malicious crusade, there are still some people who continue to act the ostrich and pretend not to know that that issue was settled in a court of competent jurisdiction 13 years ago”. 

“This case was delved into some years back dubbed “Thriller In Manila” crusade and how It ended in the high court In 2007/8 with supporting evidence provided by the current president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo”.

He revealed that”I have just encountered some of those who continue to believe in the discovery peddled by Justice Kpegah, Mrs. Rawlings and others in 2007 and 2008 on another platform [a friend’s Facebook Wall]. Akufo-Addo is certainly not a saint or a perfect person”.

“None of us is, but he’s neither a fake lawyer nor an imposter, relative to his legal credentials and achievements in Ghanaian judicial history. Only ignoramuses and political neophytes will doubt or challenge this assertion”.

Abdul Malik Kweku Baako ended by providing everyone with a piece of information saying “For starters, I reproduce one of the essential exhibits tendered in evidence in court by Akufo-Addo to exterminate Justice Kpegah’s important crusade, a discredited crusade some people are desperately trying to resurrect in 2022”.
