Mr Thomas Kusi Boafo, the Chief Executive Officer of Public Sector Reforms Secretariat following the dismissal of the questionable E-levy by the resistance says Free SHS will be ended assuming Ghanaians refuse to pay the electronic levy
In an interview, he told Kessben FM the low government revenue mobilization has made an enormous monetary deficiency and until the Electronic Transaction Levy (E-levy) is passed, the current year’s BECE candidates are likely not to enjoy the free SHS.
“In this way, Ghanaians should settle on a decision; we would rather abort the free SHS policy, stop hiring in the public sector, or we’ll need to go to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for help on the off chance that the e-levy isn’t passed,” he said.
Guys, what do you think? Do think the levy should be passed and if the current rate should be maintained, reduced or cancelled?
