“The Economy Is Gasping For Oxygen” – Ghanaians Disturbed By The E-levy Brouhaha

Ghana has has its fair share of problems in the last decade. Its citizens are displeased by the current economic situation and all the blame goes to the government. They are tired of the fact that the economy seems to be slumming from bad to worse.

Day in day out, the prices of goods and services don’t get any lower. They keep skyrocketing. This has forced the backs of Ghanaians to the walls. They believe that Bawumia’s economy is gasping for oxygen.

Bawumia is the vice president of Ghana. He is an NPP member and some Ghanaians are not in support of how he is controlling the economy. With the ongoing issue of the E-levy, it has worsened his view in the eyes of some people.

He said hr doesn’t like the idea of Mobile Money being taxed but still his party is still going ahead with the E-levy, irrespective of the oppositions faced. Clearly, most Ghanaians are not happy with the E-levy because that means extra tax and there are limited jobs to even provide the income from which they will pay the tax.
