LIVESTREAMED: Parliament reconvenes in spite of uncertainty over passage of Invoice

Ghana’s eighth Parliament is predicted to reconvene on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 with some uncertainty across the attention and passage of the Digital Transaction Levy Invoice.

To this point, executive has made it recognized its plan to give an amended fee of the E-levy from an preliminary 1.75 p.c to one.5 p.c.

Even supposing the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin may not be provide to preside over the lawsuits, the destiny of the E-Levy Invoice stays unsure.

The E-Levy since its announcement via the finance minister [Ken Ofori-Atta] in November 2021 has won public backlash from Ghanaians and lawmakers in Parliament.
