 A very good old friend of mine always advises me with these words when it comes to romantic relationships; “don’t sacrifice too much for her if she/he is not married to you.”
Even that advice is flawed because apart from death nothing is truly guaranteed in human affairs. We can only hope and pray that the partners we are sacrificing are worth it because even marriages can face divorce.
Let’s get into the reason why we are here. A very disappointed and angry man revealed that he sacrificed so much for his ex-girlfriend in the hope that she would marry him when she finishes her education and the time is right.
According to the man, he sponsored the education of his beloved from Secondary School to the Tertiary not knowing the lady had a different agenda. The disappointed and furious started to scatter his ex-lover’s engagement ceremony while ranting about the sacrifices he made to make the lady happy and how cruel the lady has treated him.Â
He demanded that a refund of the money he spent on the lady’s education be paid to him.
