Do Not Repeat Your Mistakes In 2024 Because Power Must Change Hands – Kwesi Pratt Tells NDC

Veteran journalist, Kwesi Pratt yesterday stormed the 3rd anniversary of the Ayawaso West Wugon violence. Three years ago some Ghanaian were assaulted by a team of security personnel during a by election to replace the late MP Emmanuel Agyarko. Hon. Lydia Alhassan went on to win the election by over 68% but the sad events of the day will forever remain in the annals of Ghana’s democratic journey.

The opposition NDC organized an event to mark the event and one of the guest speakers was Kwesi Pratt. Kwesi Pratt chastised the government for failing to punish the perpetrators. He questioned the democratic principles of the country when violence is still being used at polling centers. He cautioned the NDC to wake up and act as a true opposition party.

He called on the NDC to wake up and learn from the lessons of 2020. According to Kwesi Pratt things must change in 2024 because so far things have turned out badly and this cuts across the sub region where coup d’états have taken over. He challenged the leaders of the NDC to fight harder and take power in 2024. In an interesting scenario, Kwesi Pratt noted that he has an NDC friend who wants to challenge John Mahama for the flagbearer position because the former President has been at the back of so many insults. Kwesi concludes that this position is laughable and that candidate should be rejected.
